Zoom Meeting

Present :   Alastair Cousin, Catherine Dobbie, Ann Gallacher, Catherine Anne MacAulay, Valerie Nimmo (Chair) and Anne Scott

Apologies :   John Armour and Alan Baker (Archie Millar was unable to join Zoom meeting.  Catherine had to download a new version of Zoom to join)

Treasurer’s Report:

Ann has been to Virgin Money and a Term Deposit is available at 4% online.   However the process is not straightforward and it would require the signatories, Valerie, Ann and Catherine to all be present on a phone call to apply.   Ann is going to check with Yorkshire if any similar accounts are available to the Windfarm and what would be required.

Ann confirmed that all of the awards have been made as agreed at the meeting of 4th June.

A refund of £1,142.10 has been received from Scottish Womens Institute in respect of the award made to them in November 2022 for the Biennial Show held in Campbeltown earlier this year.   Their costs were less than estimated and other funding was received.

Ann confirmed that the Grant has been received from SSE, £3,155.00.   The account balance is £106,064.27 and the next funding will be received next April/May.

Distribution of funds

More information was requested from Machrihanish Seabird & Wildlife Observatory and Campbeltown Rugby Club.   After discussion, it was agreed that both applications should be fully supported – MSBO £5,000 and Rugby Club £3,000.

Previous Awards update

Anne will send reminders to the outstanding groups regarding the non receipt of the End of Project forms for the awards made in June 2023.   Kintyre Amateur Swim Club have returned their form but the courses for Coaching have not happened yet – Anne to ask that they confirm when the courses have taken place.

AOCB

It was noted that some of the emails sent by Anne from the ccwf.applications email are going into the Junk boxes of the recipients.   Ann will mention this to Cameron McNair when she sees him this week for any possible cause.

The advert for the next applications is to in the Campbeltown Courier on Friday 4th October with applications closing on Friday 25th October.   A meeting will be held on Monday 11th November at 7.30pm to discuss the applications and Anne is to book the Town Hall.

There was no further business.
