Campbeltown Community Council was awarded £12,000 from Tesco Bags of Help.

Half of the monies was spent on new seating and picnic benches, refurbishing old benches, 2 seagull proof litter bins and a dog poo bag dispenser, all for Quarry Green.

Gordon Allen and his team from Wee Toon Environmental Solutions made 8 new picnic benches and refurbished 5 old benches.

3 recycled picnic benches and 3 recycled seating benches were purchased through Argyll and Bute Council with the assistance of Paul Martin. The material used to make these benches includes old recycled plastic bags!

3 interpretation boards were commissioned to depict different aspects of Campbeltown’s Heritage and are now proudly on display.
